We in Nursery 2 have been quite busy. February was literacy month and so many of the Mothers came into class to read to all of our freinds. It was such a great experience for the children to welcome you all into our class and enjoy your company. Thank you to all those who were able to visit.
Joshua also had a birthday party here his Mommy and Grandma both came to celebrate with us. It was very nice having them join us as we ate cake, read books and enjoyed. Happy 4th Birthday Joshua! His Mommy also read to the class 2 special books that Joshua chose.
Purim approached us very quickly this year but we made sure to celebrate. Our class made many projects for Purim as you know. Morah Sarah's class came in and joined us for some fun. We sat as Morah retold the purim story. The children all got to dress up in their oistumes and get a trun to share with their friends what costume they chose. It was adorable listening to them and watching them twirl around and they showed their costumes to their friends. Both classes got to go on a hamantashen hunt and look for hamantashen that Morah cut out and hid all over the classroom. Baking hamantashen was so much fun!The children rolled out theor won dough, cut out the circle shape, folded them into triangles, and even chose what filling they wanted all on their own.
The letter we learned was the letter E. We know that E is for Esther, excercise, eggs, and more. Morah took out the colorful big parachute and we used it to excercise with and we had a blast! Running under it when more called our letters of our names, or when she said a color that we were wearing, even when we had to keep the duck from falling off while we shook it. It was jst a lot of fun and we had a workout while doing it. For breakfast one morning Morah even made us eggs to eat.
They were really yummy!
Paseach (Passover) is right around the corner and we have already begun learning all about it. Morah brought in pictures of all the different items we should become familiar with and that we will be learning about and showed them to us during circle time. We began to learn all about the story that we read about in the hagadah. Our class has started a couple of our many projects that we will be making to help us learn and understand the sedar that we will take part in with our families and also with our class. There is still much to learn but we are eager to see what Morah had planned for us next.
